Virginia M. Larson, 78, of Fayette and formerly of Livermore, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at Prairie View Residential Care Facility of rural Fayette.

Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013, at St. Olaf Cemetery in Bode, Iowa with Pastor Steven Bliss officiating.

Virginia Mae Larson, daughter of Herman C. and Bertha Gunderson Larson, was born August 28, 1934, at Humboldt County, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Livermore, Iowa. Virginia worked for many years as an executive secretary for the American Trucker’s Association in Washington, D.C. She lived the last several years at Prairie View in rural Fayette, Iowa.

 Virginia is survived by two brothers, Donald (Barbara) Larson of Newark, California and Ivan (Julie) Larson of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Esther Horst of Toledo, Ohio, Trudy (Marvin) Wehking of Silver Springs, Maryland, and Donna (Jack) True of Albert Lea, Minnesota; two sisters-in-law, Dottie Larson of Corpus Christi, Texas and Cecile Larson of Sierra Madre, California; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Clifford and Carl Larson.
